If you are an avid deer hunter, then make sure that you come to the Crater of Diamonds State Park this Saturday, October 3^rd at 3:00 PM.  One of Arkansas’s favorite outdoorsmen, Steve “Wildman” Wilson will be here at the Park for the first of our Awesome Autumn Speaker Series that we hold every Saturday in October.  All of the programs are free of charge, and open to the public.

 

Steve, who is the popular host of the Saturday morning KARK-TV outdoor living program, will be speaking at the upper deck level of the Diamond Discovery Center.  He will be discussing the forecast for this year’s deer hunting season and demonstrating different types of animal calls.  This program is your chance to find out the “good stuff” from an Arkansas Game and Fish Commission employee.

 

The following Saturday, October 10^th, Glenn Worthington, longtime diamond searcher will talk about his experiences in the over 20 years that he has been looking for diamonds.  He found the beautiful 2.2 carat Easter Sunrise Diamond in early April of this Spring.  His program will begin at 7:00 PM at the upper deck of the Diamond Discovery Center. 

 

Glenn has just published the third edition of his popular history of diamond mining in Arkansas, “Genuine Diamonds Found in Arkansas”.  So, bring your copy, and he will be happy to autograph it for you.
