In addition, this year’s Earth Science Day was held during the American Geological Institute’s Earth Science Week, meaning students at the park were part of a national celebration of earth sciences and their impact in our lives. As always, the Crater provided a perfect backdrop for learning more about the world around us!

Rachel Miller, Education Outreach Coordinator of the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program, will recount ghostly tales of real places in Arkansas in the Diamond Discovery Center!
Then on October 31, Jeanine King, of Jeanine’s Fine Jewelers in Nashville, will be at the park at 3 p.m. to talk about beautiful jewelry made from many of the Crater’s finest diamonds and other gems and minerals!
