The Diamond Mine Says “Aloha”
By Margi Jenks
We had so much fun at our Independence Day Pool Party that we are throwing another pool party. This time our theme is an Hawaiian Luau. The date is Saturday, August 7th at the Crater of Diamonds State Park, just south of Murfreesboro. The fun starts at 6:30 PM and lasts until 9:00 PM. Admission is our water park’s usual prices: $5.50 for children and adults over 42”, $3.75 for children under 42”, $2.00 for non-swimming chaperones, and children 2 and under are free.
The Diamond Springs Water Park will be decked out in tropical decorations and ablaze with tiki torches. We will all be wearing our loudest Hawaiian clothes, and you too will need to wear your favorite Hawaiian shirt, because we will have a people’s choice contest for best Hawaiian swimsuit or shirt/outfit.
To complete the atmosphere, we will have Hawaiian music and a dance contest for the best Hula dancer. We will dust off our Hula hoops and bring out the Limbo Bar for all of you to show off your expertise and win prizes. Free refreshments will be served and door prizes will be given out.
So, bring your family to hang ten and have some summer fun, and enjoy our wonderful Diamond Springs Water Park. We are looking forward to welcoming you with a big “Aloha”. For more information call the Park at 870/285-3113.
