By Waymon Cox
Greetings from
Crater of Diamonds State Park! On Saturday, April 5, digital photographers ages 13 and up are invited to attend Photography in the Park. The workshop will begin at 10 a.m. and end at 3:45 p.m.
Participants may choose four classes from a variety of topics to attend during the day. Classes scheduled for this year include the following: Macro Photography, Lenses, and Basic Photo Editing at 10 a.m.; Springtime Photography, Portrait Photography, and Basic Photo Editing at 11 a.m.; Composition, Camera Settings & Exposure, and Advanced Photo Editing at 1 p.m.; Night Photography, Capturing Motion, and Advanced Photo Editing at 2:30 p.m. Cameras and note-taking materials are encouraged but may not be required for all classes. Afternoon classes will be longer, to allow for more detailed discussion and hands-on practice.
To register for Photography in the Park and choose classes, call Crater of Diamonds State Park at 870-285-3116 by Friday, March 28, and speak with Park Interpreter Waymon Cox. Classes will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis; call soon for the best availability! Cost is $30 per person, including a $15 registration fee, due by March 28 (pay the remaining $15 on the day of the workshop).
