by Waymon Cox
Visit Crater of Diamonds State Park on June 15 for the 3rd Annual Prospectors’ Gemboree and 7th Annual Famous Crater Diamonds Exhibition! Celebrate diamond miners in Arkansas with a day of games and activities for everyone. Search for prize bottles and rocks hidden throughout the diamond search area during our annual treasure hunt, and make memories to win prizes in the Facets of Fun Photo Scavenger Hunt!
Kids and grownups alike can also join in a variety of exciting games throughout the day. Kids will enjoy our ever-popular Diamond Digging Contest and Diamond Toss, while all ages can team up for our egg toss, relay race, and famous watermelon seed spitting contest (free watermelon)! Prizes will be awarded after each game, and a full game schedule will be available at the event.
While enjoying the Gemboree, don’t miss our 7th Annual Famous Crater Diamonds Exhibition, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the Diamond Discovery Center classroom.
