Crater to host photography workshop on June 11

  Greetings from Crater of Diamonds State Park!  On Thursday, June 11, park visitors will have the opportunity to attend Photography in the Park, a special workshop hosted by the Crater.

  Local photographer Velvet Counts and I will present the workshop, beginning at 10 a.m. in the campground amphitheater.  In the event of inclement weather, the workshop may be moved to a covered location.

  Participants, ages 13 and up, will have an opportunity to bring their own cameras to the workshop and learn more about camera types and functions, composing the perfect shot, photo editing, and much more!  There will also be a mid-morning nature hike, during which participants will be able to practice skills learned.  Cost is only $10.00 per person, payable in the park gift shop on June 11.
