Comment: THIS WAS OUR FIRST RV VACATION AND WE HAD A GREAT TIME. I JUST WISH WE HAD BEEN MORE PREPARED. WE HAVEN'T CAMPED IN SO LONG....WE FORGOT SOME BASICS. WOOD FOR A CAMPFIRE. CLOTHES LINE FOR WET CLOTHES. TABLE CLOTH FOR PICNIC TABLE. AWNING FOR OVER THE TABLE. LOTS OF MOSQUITOES OFF TAKES CARE OF THAT. TO MINE YOU NEED GLOVES AND IF WET...RUBBER BOOTS. RAINCOAT. TRASHCAN OR SOME TYPE OF TRASH RECEPTACLE WITH TIGHT LID. THEY DO HAVE TRASH STATIONS, BUT NOT AT EACH CAMPSITE. OTHER THAN THAT WE WERE PRETTY PREPARED AND HAD A WONDERFUL TIME. THE STAFF IS SO HELPFUL AND NICE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND PUTTING IT ON YOUR BUCKET LIST OF THINGS TO DO.
To ensure you enjoy your state park experience, be aware of the natural world. There are some areas which are potentially hazardous to all visitors. Since it is impractical to post signs at all danger points, use caution when approaching such areas as cliffs, caves, heavily wooded areas, swamps, streams, and lakes. Adults are responsible for children in their care. If unsure about possible hazards, check at the visitor center.
